Fibroline is a french engineering company that has developed and patented a portfolio of dry powder impregnation technologies. It owns an innovation center in Lyon, France and has recently opened a laboratory in North Carolina, in the United States. Fibrolines impregnation solutions are based on the use of an alternative electric field that leads to the impregnation of materials in powder form throughout porous supports such as foams, textiles, nonwovens or yarns. These technologies are particularly eco-friendly as they combine low energy consumption and the elimination of solvents and effluents used by traditional impregnation methods. Fibrolines technologies apply to many industries and work especially well in the medical sector, enabling the development of many innovative products. They can indeed be implemented in white rooms, in continuous or semi-continues production lines, based on the clients needs. These innovative solutions allow to impregnate absorbents, antimicrobial or wound-healing agents into bandages, or military gazes to stop heavy bleeding in combat situations. Other supports such as patches for pachymeningitis or knitted fabrics for the treatment of hernias, can be advantageously functionalized. Over the last two years, Fibroline has taken part in the development of major breakthrough innovations, including a hemostatic sealing patch for one of the sectors leaders in 2024 and an antimicrobial foam dressing for another major actor of this industry in 2025.
