KnowMedical Srl was founded in 1990. In the beginning it dealt mainly with technical assistance to other companies and registration of medical devices by the Italian Minister of Health. One year later it started manufacturing semi-finished products and working as representative for the other companies of disposable medical devices. The new production plant was built in 1997 in Via Guido Rossi, industrial area Gerbolina , in Viadana (MN), where is still operative. In 1999 KnowMedical got the CE certificate and the Certification of the Company Quality System in compliance to the norms in force. The authorization for the production of medical devices was given by the notified body 0373 Istituto Superiore di Sanità , which also released the CE certificates for devices belonging to class Is, IIa and IIb according to the European Directive 93/42/CEE, received in Italy with D. Lgs. N.46 on 24/02/1997. Between 2000 and 2005 KnowMedical got the CE certificate for new product families. In 2007 the company Quality Management System was certified by the notified body 0475 ICIM SpA. KnowMedical is currently ISO9001:2008 and ISO13485:2004 certified. In 2012 KnowMedical built a new warehouse and another new Clear Room. In the same year the company started an eCommerce activity for some product families.
