Gulf Fiberoptics was founded in 1996 by current President / CEO Patrick Bennetts with the vision of establishing the company as a leading, comprehensive manufacturer of fiber optic products. The company's foundation was built on the ability to manufacture premium quality borosilicate raw fibers. Our state-of-the-art, in-house drawing towers allow for a high level of quality control and custom material sizing to better serve the industry. Our careful selection of high-purity raw materials gives our products a competitive edge. In addition to our borosilicate fibers, our Photonics business manufactures fiber optic patch cords and assemblies from other multimode fibers such as quartz and/or fused silica with a wide range of coatings and buffers. There are now two distinct divisions of Gulf Fiberoptics Group: Medical - Standard and custom light cords for rigid endoscopes, OEM and replacement light bundles for flexible endoscopes, light cables for spinal retractors, complete surgical spotlight systems, and light sources. Photonics - Custom and standard fiber optic assemblies and probes for spectroscopy for use with most industry standard spectrometers and instruments.
