Tannuscare was founded in honor of our founder’s grandmother, who tragically passed away from a hip fracture after falling. Our ultimate goal is to prevent such tragedies and promote safe walking so that all elderly individuals can age safely, confidently, and healthily. In 2022, we developed a new speed-responsive, shock-absorbing STF material, and in 2023, we founded Tannuscare to focus on medical devices and healthcare products utilizing this new material. Since then, we’ve obtained a medical device manufacturing license, and in 2024, we launched our hip support device, the QuanFoam Hip Support. The protective pads of QuanFoam Hip Support are made of QuanFoam, the world’s first shock-absorbing STF material that can be molded into foam. STF material is a speed-responsive shock absorber made using foam injection molding technology, a polymeric new material with the property of increasing viscosity as the shear rate increases. This cutting-edge shock-absorbing new material offers excellent shock absorption performance, with its viscosity changing based on the velocity of the impact, ensuring lightweight flexibility.
